Frequently asked questions

So, how does it actually work?

Wool’s a natural insulator on its own — it’s been used for that exact reason for centuries, trapping heat because of how the fibres are structured. We went one step further: instead of a single layer, this hat uses two layers of wool felt with a trapped air gap in between, the same principle as double glazing in a window. That air gap is what actually slows the heat down, which is why it keeps your head cooler for longer than a regular single-layer hat.
